There is a quarry in Canada that can only be mined three months each year because the rest of the time the quarry is frozen and not workable. The incredible color from this quarry is called Blue Eyes and looks like it is winking at you as you move around the material. We have slabs of this incredible Blue Eyes in stock.

There are 17 distinct wine regions in France. Luckily, you need not worry about spilling wine on the incredible limestones from France. Most of the limestones from France are very hard and non-porous and can be used as countertops in addition to flooring material. One of the most popular limestones from France is Beauharnais.

Many of our favorite folk tales originated from Germany, such as Rumpelstilskin, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Cinderella and Hansel and Gretel. But it’s no fairy tale that some of the best and hardest limestones also come from Germany. These limestones can be used not only for flooring applications but also countertops. From the slates of the north to the granites of the south, there is an endless variety from which to choose. Constructed in the 1400s, the Incan city of Machu Picchu has long been a mystic place and is one of the seven wonders of the world. Our travertines from Peru have a similar mystic feel about them and are very popular for floors and vanities. The exotic Coliseum is one such travertine.
